The refurbished Philips iE33 cardiovascular ultrasound machine, launched in 2004, is one of the most popular ultrasound machines in demand due to it being the cardiovascular gold standard for over a decade. In the updated 2010 model, the iE33 xMatrix, it is equipped with xMatrix transducers with thousands of elements each and is capable of viewing images in 2 planes in real time as well as 4D capabilities that do not require a mechanical probe.

The Philips iE33 xMatrix can enable QLAB quantification and a multitude of various cardiovascular specific software enhancements that will add diagnostic confidence to standard vascular and cardiac exams. The Epiq 7 is the replacement to the iE33. Those looking for similar features and power at the premium level with a focus on radiology or OB/GYN, buyers chose the Philips iU22, which looks identical to the iE33 except it has one touchscreen, whereas the iE33 has two.

The refurbished Philips iE33 ultrasound has some of the best values in console cardiovascular ultrasound machines for sonographer use. It is designed to increase efficiency, optimize ergonomics, and address heart failure and other cardiovascular needs in fast-paced clinical environments with less strain, allowing you to see more patients throughout the day.

The Philips iE33 system features the following key benefits to the ultrasound machinery:

  • 4D TEE
  • Live 3D (4D)
  • xMATRIX technology
  • Quantitative stress echo
  • DICOM imaging
  • iScan image optimization

The Philips iE33 for sale was preferred by sonographers several reasons, such as image quality, speed, and its ease-of-use.

While it still provides excellent image quality, its age is showing. Probo Medical carries systems, parts, and probes for the iE33.

The iE33 and the GE Vivid E9 competed for the top-spot as the best cardiovascular ultrasound on the market in their day. Some sonographers prefer Philips systems while others favor the features of the GE Vivid E9. Choosing the right machine can be a tough decision, but in the end it all comes down to a budgetary decision or personal preference.
