Call to configure, special pricing available 317-759-9210

The refurbished Philips iE33 cardiovascular ultrasound machine, launched in 2004, is one of the most popular ultrasound machines in demand due to it being the cardiovascular gold standard for over a decade. In the updated 2010 model, the iE33 xMatrix, it is equipped with xMatrix transducers with thousands of elements each and is capable of viewing images in 2 planes in real time as well as 4D capabilities that do not require a mechanical probe.

The Philips iE33 xMatrix can enable QLAB quantification and a multitude of various cardiovascular specific software enhancements that will add diagnostic confidence to standard vascular and cardiac exams. The Epiq 7 is the replacement to the iE33. Those looking for similar features and power at the premium level with a focus on radiology or OB/GYN, buyers chose the Philips iU22, which looks identical to the iE33 except it has one touchscreen, whereas the iE33 has two.

Price starting at $8,100

The Philips iE33 for sale was preferred by sonographers several reasons, such as image quality, speed, and its ease-of-use.

While it still provides excellent image quality, its age is showing. Probo Medical carries systems, parts, and probes for the iE33.

The iE33 and the GE Vivid E9 competed for the top-spot as the best cardiovascular ultrasound on the market in their day. Some sonographers prefer Philips systems while others favor the features of the GE Vivid E9. Choosing the right machine can be a tough decision, but in the end it all comes down to a budgetary decision or personal preference.

SonoCT on the Philips ie33 is also known as compound imaging (CrossXBeam, iBeam, etc). It allows the ultrasound transducer to see from multiple lines of site at different angles, as opposed to the standard line-of-site that’s perpendicular to the transducer lens.

XRES on the Philips ie33 portable ultrasound machine uses a software algorithm to increase image resolution by reducing “speckle” (artifact) while brightening tissue in the image. The result provides a clearer image with higher contrast between hyper- and hypo-echoic regions.

xMATRIX technology is available on refurbished Philips Epiq 7 ultrasound systems with xMATRIX technology enabled. The xMatrix allows for 2D and 3D realtime imaging… the X5-1 xMATRIX transducer on the Philips ie33 has 2600-3000 elements.

iScan on the Philips ie33 is a one-touch optimization in which the system evaluates the ultrasound image and optimizes Gain automagically.

Live 3D is also known as 4D in most circles (a GE term). It allows real-time 3D imaging in cardiac imaging on the Philips ie33 with the X5-1 and other xMATRIX transducers.

Live xPlane imaging on the ie33 allows for a simultaneous display of two live imaging planes.

Philips PureWave is a transducer technology in which the crystals (elements) of the transducer are arranged uniformly, which is not the case with standard transducer technology. Philips states that PureWave technology provides more consistent image results.
