The GE Voluson S6 ultrasound system is the most affordable of the new Voluson S-Series models for women’s health. But just because this system is affordable, that doesn’t mean it doesn’t offer solid power and performance in a compact package. The GE Voluson S6 is smaller and lighter than the original Voluson system: the GE Voluson 730, yet it is also faster and offers more automated features.

HDLive on the Voluson S6 is a new imaging technique for 4D imaging that allows you to use a virtual light source to view a fetus. This gives it a more realistic view of the baby.

SonoBiometry is a semi-automatic process that performs biometric measurements.

Yes, however it’s not an easy setup. Our specialists know the secrets to setting this up and can customize/tailor the setup to your unique needs.

Yes, the Voluson S6 can export images to an its integrated DVD/CW RW, Flash memory, or DICOM network for images, backup, and patient data.

Yes, the Voluson S6 has full network capabilities, however, you’ll need to let your Probo Medical representative know in advance that you’ll need DICOM if you want to send your images to a PACS system or radiologist for review.

Very little. This is similar to the difference between a snapshot from your camera or a video. 3D is a single image, while 4D is a live, real-time image. In 4D obstetric situations, you would be able to see the baby move, smile, yawn, stretch, etc. The 3D image is one static image while 4D is live continuous imaging.

Yes, the Voluson S6 has Triplex imaging for Spectral, Color, and 2D simultaneous imaging.

CrossXBeam on the Voluson S6 is also known as compound imaging. It allows the ultrasound transducer to see from multiple lines of site at different angles, as opposed to the standard line-of-site that’s perpendicular to the transducer lens.

Speckle Reduction Imaging on the Voluson S6 portable ultrasound machine uses a special software algorithm to identify body tissue and eliminate artifact. The result provides a clearer image with reduced artifact.

Tomographic Ultrasound Imaging uses 4D imaging technology to create multiple “slices” of an image acquisition for clinical evaluation.
