The exceptional image quality sets a new standard for portable ultrasound machines, and most technicians quickly find the touchscreen interface intuitive and easy to use after just a few scans.

The Vivid iq Vet opts for a touchscreen and trackpad instead of a traditional keyboard and many physical keys, offering enhanced versatility. While this transition may seem daunting initially, after a day’s use, many users find the trackpad/trackball combination preferable to the traditional interface of Vivid ultrasound machines.

Developed as a next-generation system based on the Vivid i and q, the GE Vivid iq Vet represents the evolution of GE’s dedicated cardiovascular portable systems. Its console design undergoes a complete overhaul, with most controls now integrated into its 15.6″ high-resolution display. Its primary competitor, the Philips CX50, was updated subsequent to the release of the Vivid iq. While the CX50 is notably larger and less portable than the Vivid iq Vet, many Philips users tend to favor Philips products over GE.
