GE Venue 40 Training Part 2 of 8: Ultrasound System Tour

Video Transcript to GE Venue 40 Ultrasound System Tour:
In the first section, we learned a little bit about the system, how to connect it to the dock and use the whole docking cart station. And we’re going to go ahead and get it started now and learn the way around the system.
The Venue 40 Power button is up here. Just push it once lightly, and it boots up very quickly. Now the ultrasound machine will show that it’s booting up to musculoskeletal, however you can set it to do whichever of the applications that you will be using most of the time. We’ll show you how to do that in just a moment.
First, let’s take a look around the system. We have here a magnetic stylus. This is what you use for the on-screen controls. We have our soft menus down here. You notice when we get the Venue 40 stylus close to the tablet screen, we get an arrow that comes up.
The Ultrasound also has our hard keys that are along here. We have our freeze, save, gain, depth, and along the bottom these buttons also double as soft and hard keys. If I want to hit the auto-optimization, I can just click here. Or I can also use the stylus and touch Auto.
The stylus will be used for measurements and other sorts of things that you would do on the screen. But a lot of what you can do is down here and right along the side of the machine.
Next, we’ll take a look at the probe. The ultrasound probe transducer has markers on both sides and it’s a little confusing. The marker that you want is the one with the actual line down here and the bumps on it. Biopsy GE Venue 40. This will refer to what’s up here, where it says GE. So if I touch this side of the ultrasound transducer, you can see that on the screen it is touching that side of the probe with the marker right below the GE.
