Probo Medical is proud to announce the top 5 winners from our first annual ultrasound giveaway in celebration of Medical Ultrasound Awareness Month. This October, we gave away a GE Logiq E9 ultrasound machine to our grand prize winning school, Indiana University Northwest, as well as other prizes to 4 other winning colleges to commemorate MUAM. This refurbished ultrasound will replace the outdated Acuson that is currently in the sonography lab at Indiana University Northwest, allowing the students access to updated ultrasound resources to learn from.

MUAM Ultrasound Giveaway

Every October, sonographers, ultrasound technicians, healthcare professionals, and more join together to participate in MUAM to promote education on ultrasounds and recognize it as a viable option for patients. Although MUAM was established to provide the public with a better understanding of ultrasound and its many uses of this fast growing technology in healthcare, it also provides a chance for ultrasound professionals to celebrate their field of work. Educating the public about the importance of ultrasound and its part it plays in the world of healthcare today is key to save and enhance existing lives.

In celebration of MUAM, Probo Medical hosted a free drawing for schools for their chance to win free preventative maintenance on their schools existing ultrasound machines, Probo swag bags, disinfectant wipes, and more. From the 5 winners in total that we choose at random, the grand prize won their choice between the Philips iU22 or the GE Logiq E9 Ultrasound System. Probo Medical decided to host this drawing for schools exclusively because we value the education of future sonographers and want to provide them with the chance to interact firsthand with these new technologies. We received over 100 submissions in our ultrasound giveaway, which was a record setting number of participants, and although not everyone could be a winner, the 5 schools that received prizes were Indiana University Northwest, Delaware Technical Community College, Long Island University, Morehead State University, and Lorain County Community College. Our grand prize winner, Ann Walker, a DMS (Diagnostic Medical Sonographer) at Indiana University Northwest, chose the GE Logie E9 system along with two probes to be used with her new ultrasound machine. This refurbished ultrasound system will  help further educate her and many more medical students' futures in sonography by introducing them to new technologies that are used in healthcare today.

Probo Medical's MUAM 2021 was a huge success thanks to the many schools who participated in our drawing and a big congratulations to our 5 winners. Ultrasound plays an integral role in healthcare today and its revolutionary technology gives sonographers the ability to help provide a quick and accurate diagnosis without risk to the patient. We encourage everyone to learn more about ultrasound's many uses as a vital medical tool in healthcare today and look forward to playing our part in celebrating MUAM in the many years to come.
