Exporting Images and Creating Reports on the ECO5: Video Training Part 5 of 6
Exporting Images and using reports on the Chison ECO 5 can be a relatively straightforward process, however, there are some cool features and important notes about images, loops, and creating reports. This portion of the training will show you these features.

Transcript to Creating Reports and Exporting Images and Reports on the Chison ECO 5:
So now that we have some images and some measurements, We’re finishing up with the exam. We want to check out the report. I’m going to hit this little Report key right here. And here are all these calculations that I made. It also has a library of the images, and when I select one it goes right under the report here.
So I can Select and do multiple ones on the report. If I click on the one above it that was already highlighted, it will remove it from that report. So if I just click that it will remove.
Now, note some of these have a little video clip next them. That means that they are the city loops. So if you actually put that in a report, it’s only going to show you one frame of that loop and it may not be what is that you’re looking to demonstrate.
So if you want certain images on a report, make sure you’d save the single image in addition to the loop if you want both of them. The single image is what you’re going to want to put on your report. So if we just want to add it to report, then click.
Say we want to add all three of those, we can scroll down. If there’s more than six images, this will say one of two and so you can scroll back between the pages back and forth that way. Here you can click send to DICOM Structured Reports if you have that set up.
You can print it or exported to a USB stick, we’d click on that export. And then we could also just save, so we can save that exam right there. For now we’ll just click Exit and get out of that report.
Now, if we want to export those images to a USB stick, first we’re going to put in a USB. Now that’s in, it says USB plugged in. And there’s no longer an x here next to the USB icon. So if we want to see that for sure, I’m going to click this arrow. Click on it, it says I can remove it safely, but I want to save images on it.
So let’s go back to review that patient. So we want to click here to go to the patient archives, see the existing patient. And I have a number of different ways that I can do. Archives can take me back to previous exams. I can delete images here. I can print them.
I can send images, which is what I’m going to want to do. This is just basic information on the patient from that original menu. We report we already saw, so let’s say I’m going to select a few images. I just click on one at a time and they will all highlight in yellow. If I don’t want to send one, I’d click it again.
So these are all highlighted, and I want to send them. So I’m going to go ahead and hit Send. It’s going to say do I want to save them BMP, JPEG? And don’t worry about the single frame with Raw Data at this point, if you’re just trying to get images onto a USB stick to view them on a PC. So you’ll choose BPM or JPEG and then just go ahead and click Export.
So note that it’s taking a little bit of time. It’s not sending three images, it sending two cine loop review files. And these cannot be viewed on a standard PC without a special viewer from Chison. At this time the cine loops cannot be exported to a PC in a PC format. You need your special reader in order to view the loops.
However, all those images can be viewed on a PC in the JPEG or BPM format, which is standard, and you will be able to do all that. The only thing you can’t see are these loops. You’ll only see the first frame of those loops on the saved images.
So now those images are transferred to the USB, and I can go take a look at them on my PC. I can just go ahead and hit Cancel. There’s also something to sending to DICOM, and we’ll get to that in just a moment for sending patients to DICOM.
We’ll go ahead and go to Archive. Now, I have this test exam here. I can go to Send Exam again if I want to send this entire study to the DICOM server. If I go ahead and hit Send Exam it’s giving me the same menu before.
Over here– once we get through the system setup, if you have a DICOM server setup, it would be in this section right here. It would say DICOM Storage, DICOM SR or something of that sort, however you’ve got it set up.
You’d be able to choose that and then export the image to that DICOM server. You’re not seeing it here because we haven’t yet set that up in the system setup. But rest assured, this is how you would send it through DICOM once you’re connected to a network.
Let’s go ahead and click Exit. And if we’re done with the patient, we just to End to the exam.
