Philips Affiniti 50

Refurbished

Call to configure, special pricing available 317-759-9210

The refurbished Philips Affiniti 50 is a midrange shared service ultrasound machine that was developed from the premium Epiq 7. The Affiniti 50 for sale is shaped after the more expensive Affiniti 70 and offers many similar features and also shares the same technologies as the Epiq series, including QLAB onboard quantification set. Without the added single crystal probes or Shearwave elastography, the Affiniti 50 is the less expensive option, keep in mind that medical professionals who need these advanced technologies should consider the Affiniti 70.

As a budget midrange ultrasound machine, the Affiniti 50 excels at women’s health, cardiology, vascular, and radiology applications. The increased ergonomics and faster workflow of the Affiniti 50 along with its clear image quality make this machine a significant step up from the less expensive ClearVue series.

Price starting at $29,500

This trouble free ultrasound equipment’s main point of difference is that the Philips Affiniti 50 shares many features with more expensive units from Philips, saving you money but keeping its integral technological benefits.

The Philips Affiniti 50 mid-range system features the following integral benefits to the ultrasound machinery:

  •  PureWave Technology
  • Strain Quantification (SQ)
  • TEE
  • Adult and Pediatric Echocardiography
  •  21.5′ Touchscreen Monitor
  • Compound Imaging (SonoCT)
  • Speckle Reduction Imaging (XRES)
  • 3D/4D Obstetric Imaging

The Affinity 50 replaces the popular Philips HD11XE ultrasound machine as a budget mid-range ultrasound machine. It has great image quality and is an excellent choice for those who don’t need a truly premium ultrasound in their department.

The Affiniti is smaller and weighs less than the premium ultrasound machines and has a much lower price than the Philips EPIQ series of ultrasounds.

SonoCT on the Philips Affiniti 50 is also known as compound imaging (CrossXBeam, iBeam, etc). It allows the ultrasound transducer to see from multiple lines of site at different angles, as opposed to the standard line-of-site that’s perpendicular to the transducer lens.

XRES on the Philips Affiniti 50 portable ultrasound machine uses a software algorithm to increase image resolution by reducing “speckle” (artifact) while brightening tissue in the image. The result provides a clearer image with higher contrast between hyper- and hypo-echoic regions.

iScan on the Philips Affiniti 50 is a one-touch optimization in which the system evaluates the ultrasound image and optimizes Gain automagically.

Live 3D is also known as 4D in most circles (a GE term). It allows real-time 3D imaging in cardiac imaging on the Philips Affiniti 50 with the X5-1 and other xMATRIX transducers.

Philips PureWave is a transducer technology in which the crystals (elements) of the transducer are arranged uniformly, which is not the case with standard transducer technology. Philips states that PureWave technology provides more consistent image results.

Q-Lab is Philips Quantitative analysis software package for cardiac ultrasound studies. It includes a series of options available on some Philips ultrasound machines. These features include items such as ROI quantification, Tissue Motion Quantification (TMQ), Strain Quantification (SQ), IMT Intima Media Thickness), Microvascular Imaging, and GI 3D Quantification.
